It is not required but I highly recommend finishing it as it is excellent practice.
If students want a challenge then there is a challenge crossword on the math page as well as the regular one in case they forgot theirs at school. Four math questions glued into their notebooks.
Students who did not bring their home... here they are for you. Copy them down, answer them and bring them in tomorrow A. 22 - 4 x (6-2) B. 66 – 10 ÷ 5 x 3 + 2 C. 36 ÷ 6 + 4 x (2-1) D. 40 + (15 – 3 x 3) +5 Science: If students chose to finish their tree notes, then it is due tomorrow.
Math: Three extra questions for those who did not do yesterdays homework or those who wanted extra practice. Students need to finish the three questions given to them that they copied from the board.
They have notes that we did today to help them. Due next math class Wednesday October 15th On Monday September 6th, we will be having a little quiz in class on factors and multiples... it is exactly what we have been doing the past two weeks.
What do you need to know how to do? - Finding factors (you can use lists, rainbows or writing out the multiplication of each) - Finding multiples (listing multiples of a given number) - Calculating the GCF (using trees or rainbows) - Calculating the LCM (Listing multiples then find the lowest in common OR find the GCF first) - Knowing when and how to use the GCF and LCM to solve real-world problems. (Word problems) If you are looking for some review, please go to the math tab on the left hand side and scroll down. Homework is question four on the real world problems with GCF and LCM.
Students have questions 1-6 in math to complete for Monday. We had a significant amount of time in class on Friday as well as questions 1 + 2 were supposed to be done on Thursday. If they did not finish the work in class, it became homework. If they forgot it at school... here is the assignment
